Elephant Cooperation

by RSF |

Rainbow Sandals Foundation is delighted to continue their ongoing support of Elephant Cooperation.

Elephant Cooperation is a non-profit devoted to raising awareness about the African Elephant crisis and supporting existing organizations that embrace our cause. Elephant Cooperation takes a “cooperative” approach of researching, vetting, and funding organizations with existing programs to collaborate with the shared mission of saving the African elephant. Their goal is to create healthy, balanced, self-generating communities where both animals and people live in harmony.

"Elephant Cooperation is dedicated to saving elephants by supporting the people living near wildlife habitats. Our vision centers on the belief that the well-being of human communities is crucial to the protection of elephants. Over the years, we have funded elephant orphanages, fencing programs, and anti-poaching initiatives, recognizing the heroic efforts of rangers. Our support extends beyond anti-poaching to include human relief programs, ensuring that those who protect wildlife are also cared for. Our "Whole Village" concept integrates environmental, animal, and human welfare in a symbiotic approach that benefits the delicate African landscapes. Our initiatives, from providing clean water to creating oases for animals, address the challenges of harsh environments and weak economies, ensuring lasting impact. Education is at the heart of our eight core initiatives, empowering local communities with the knowledge and skills needed for sustainable living. With the support of generous donors, Elephant Cooperation has protected over 66,500 elephants, provided education to over 6,500 children, and fed over 3,800 people. By funding NGOs in Africa, we aid orphaned elephants, support rangers, educate children, and teach sustainable farming practices. Together, we are making a significant difference in the lives of both people and animals across Africa."
